History of Yass Nursery
Yass Nursery was established in 1987 from the former owners
Rudolf Willing and Lindsay Pryor who had developed a Poplar
breeding business at the site and were selling the material produced to local farmers and Nurseries. Dan and Dan Forestry Services purchased the property as there was an opportunity to join in the market of producing trees for local land owners and to supply trees and shrubs to our landscape and silviculture branches in Canberra. From that we continue to propagate hybrid poplars and have expanded into growing other commercial plants.
